IT'S TIME TO PAY, PAL
Alright so this week in class we learned about some important stuff...money. We need it in order to grow our businesses and to become more successful. Depending on our revenue, we can see whether our business is successful or if we are just losing more than we are gaining. Figuring out how to best charge customers on your site is vital so that you website can generate more growth.
The big takeaway from this week is to study different payment methods!! I spent a lot of time exploring PayPal and what it has to offer to my business. I even attempted (not sure if I even did it right but it's all apart of the learning process!!) to create my own button and code it. There was a lot of information on PayPal and how it works and all of the different settings you can change to personalize it and make it more secure. These were very interesting and helpful when trying to decide whether this is the best option for me or not. However, the debate on what payment method to use is still in the air. PayPal is one of the more popular and user friendly methods out there and is great for small businesses like mine! But I want and need to be fully educated so that I can make the best decision.
This coming week as I build my website, I am going to look at other options (Skrill, Payoneer, Google Pay, Stripe, etc) and see if any of them are more secure or just overall better for my needs. I feel that in the end I will still go with PayPal, but it will be good to familiarize myself with these alternatives for future reference.
